Booking Terms & Conditions
Introduction
If you have booked a wedding package deal, including the cost of the disco entertainment with one of our regular hotels. The hotel has become a third party, therefore, sections of the following with reference to fee payment are non-applicable.
The following terms and conditions effect all private booking events taking place from September 2009. If you are booking by private arrangement using our terms of business, please read the following conditions carefully. Once we have received the client booking fee, Keith Harrison Entertainments will consider the terms accepted. You would be advised to keep a copy of the following terms agreed.

1. Keith Harrison Entertainments acts as an employment business and negotiator only in any transaction on behalf of the client and entertainer. The entertainer is fully responsible for carrying out the agreed event instructions.
2. The word entertainer is a term used to describe any entertainer’s, disco operators or musicians booked through the negotiations with this agency.
3. The word client is used to describe the person/s requiring the services of an entertainer by using our facilities.
4. The quote for your entertainment service is pre-determined. The client must supply a function date and venue description at the time of fee agreement. Upstairs venues and marquee events generally carry increased risks and sometimes extra technical problems, there is a different fee and structure in place to cater for such occasions.
5. The entertainers booked through this agency are instructed to carry Public Liability Insurance. This Insurance does not cover any other persons usage of the equipment supplied by the entertainer. It is accepted by the client that the entertainer will not lend his/her equipment to any other person during the event, this rule does not apply to a pre-arranged Karaoke service.
6. Set up and performance times will be arranged at the time of booking and confirmed either in writing or by e-mail following a client booking fee.
7. Evening disco service: The DJ would normally be set up for 7.30pm subject to the room being available. The disco dance start time would be flexible from 8-30pm with a maximum 4 hours of disco dance and a finishing time of no later than 1.00am. The DJ will provide background music during any food arrangements. We understand that times can vary dependant on the clients requirements and the licensing of the venue.
8. Piano service: functions have a variety of start and finishing times, the pianist would perform with a maximum of 2 hours playing time within a 3 hour period. Most piano players can provide a portable piano/keyboard if required. Piano hire (white or black) can be arranged by the agent subject to availability, the client is responsible for the full payment of this extra service.
9. Booking your entertainment.
Any entertainment with a total fee not exceeding £300.00 or less, is subject to a non-refundable booking fee of £50.00 payable by the client to the agent. Any cheque payments made out to K. Harrison Entertainments Client Account, along with your name, home address, e-mail, phone contact and date of event. Send to Keith Harrison Entertainments, 364 Whalley New Road, Blackburn BB1 9SL. You will receive a confirmation of our agreement of service by post or e-mail. The balance payment is due using the same payment instructions no later than one month before the event date. Entertainment contracts with a fee above £300-00 are subject to a higher non-refundable booking fee.
10. Cancellation by the entertainer.
In the unlikely event of unforeseen circumstances involving a non-fulfilment of service by the entertainer, and provided the client has followed the advanced full payment instructions using the agency client account. Keith Harrison Entertainments will make every effort on behalf of the client to assist the client with an alternative source of entertainment subject to availability and within the agreed fee. The client remains responsible for the full fee payment to the replacement entertainer regardless of any unavoidable late issues. If the agent is unsuccessful in securing a replacement entertainer under the terms agreed. Keith Harrison Entertainments accepts responsibility for the return of any received payments only as made by the client.
11. Cancellation by the client.
The date has been held on your behalf by the entertainer.
In the event of a cancellation by the client:
(a) The client will lose any booking fee paid.
(b) Cancellation within 3 calendar months, the entertainer is entitled to claim from the
client the full agreed fee.
Conclusion.
We wish to make sure our services are clear and responsible, any amendments to the Entertainment Agency terms are unacceptable. If you are unsure of any of the details please call for clarification.
